Hoping you and your trees survived the heat wave. After all that, BCSB has something for you to look forward to: A terrific line-up of guest bonsai artists for each of our remaining 2026 meetings and workshops, including a bonsai workshop in December. Please see the newsletter for details!

BCSB’s Zelle tag now has 2 emails that are active: bonsaiclubsantabara@gmail.com and bonsaiclubsb.treasurer@gmail.com. No more worries about using the right or wrong one – both work!!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
September 17th Meeting, 7pm, Bethany Church, 556. N Hope Ave.: Jeremiah Lee will present a how-to for Coast Redwood bonsai.
September 19th, Workshops, 9am – noon and 1pm-4pm, Bethany Church, with Jeremia Lee. Workshop fee is $50 – pay by Zelle or bring cash or check to the meeting, or send to the BCSB PO Box. Please send your workshop reservation to bonsaiclubsantabarbara@gmail.com, and note if you are reserving for morning, or afternoon or both. (If you do both morning and afternoon, the fee is $100.) Space is limited to eight members per session.
ALSO ON SEPTEMBER 18TH:
BCSB has been asked to help sell the last of the trees and many, many pots that belonged to Suzannne Barrymore, one of the founding members of BCSB who passed away a few years ago. We will be holding a sale from 10am to 2pm at Bethany Church, on September 18th. Items are priced to move, and 60% of proceeds go to BCSB. Come check it out!

Bonsai Swap Meet Sunday, October 4th, 9am; Arcadia County Park, 405 S. Santa Anita Ave. Arcadia, CA. North end of the parking lot. There will be 40 vendors selling pots, tools and hundreds of trees.
