2011 Saturday Workshops

Japanese Black Pine  

Workshops are scheduled on the third Saturday of the month as shown below and are open to members only. There are two semesters of four workshops each year. Cost to participants is $100.00 for each semester. Participants may register in advance for either the morning, 9 am to noon, or afternoon, 1 pm to 4 pm, sessions. All workshops are held at the Goleta Valley Community Center, 5679 Hollister Ave., Goleta.

In addition to the paid workshops which feature well known bonsai masters, there are occasional informal open workshops as shown below which are open to all members.

BEGINNERS CLASSES:

The Club sponsors an all-day beginners workshop shortly after our annual show. This year's class will probably take place on a weekend in late may or early June 2011at the Goleta Valley Community Center. Use the links on the Contacts and Membership page if you want more information.

Santa Barbara City College Adult Education offers a series of bonsai classes three times a year that are open to people of all skill levels. The classes are taught by a member of our Club. Go to http://omni.sbcc.edu/ce/ for information on current availability.
